Dina Meyer was born in Forest Hills, Queens, New York, but moved to Dix Hills, Long Island shortly before the end of her final year of junior high school. Her brothers include Gregory, her older brother, and Evan. It was her first position within the business. It was her first job between the ages of nine and sixteen. She began her training in acting with The Neighborhood Playhouse in New York in which she learned the acting skills of Sanford Meisner together with Ron Stetson, for about three years. Sandra Bullock was among those who were trained to this manner and so were Michael Douglas, Jeff Goldblum Leslie Nielsen and Diane Keaton. When she moved into Los Angeles, she got her first part in Beverly Hills, 90210. After being offered the lead part on Johnny Mnemonic where she did most of the stunts on her own, she established herself as an actress athletic. The agency she was represented by was Matt LeBlanc, so through her talent agent she managed to get a regular part in the show Friends.
