Jeanne Marie Tripplehorn (born Jeanne Marie Tripplehorn) is an American actor who works in both film, television and the theatre. She has been a professional actor for the past 27 years. She first appeared on stage as a character in an unstaged Broadway production of The Big Funk written by John Patrick Shanley, in the year 1990. As a character in The Perfect Tribute, she was the first actress to appear on TV a year later. In 1992, she earned her big break when she played as a secondary character in the movie Basic Instinct. In the film The Firm however that she was cast as the female lead for the very first time and that too opposite famous actors such as Tom Cruise and Gene Hackman. Over the course of the 1990s Gwyneth was a co-star alongside Hugh Grant on Mickey Blue Eyes and Julie Andrews for Relative Values. Most recently, she played her character as Dr. Alex Blake in Criminal Minds.

Lexis was educated at home during her years in high school. In September 2012, Lexis had been admitted at Louisiana State University in order to earn a bachelor's degree. It is assumed that Lexis has graduated but the grade earned by her school is not known. Lexis was born into a golfing clan, so she's no stranger to the masculine-dominated game. In her early years, she began playing golf. In 2007, at the age of 12, she became the first woman in history to become eligible for the US Women's Open. Not only did she not win but in 2007, Aldila Junior Classic, which made her the second youngest player to win this competition. she was the youngest American Junior Golf Association (AJGA) athlete to take home the title as well as winning the Westfield Junior PGA Championship as the youngest person to do in the same year.
